TOTO Toilets Help Consumers Navigate the New Normal
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a new normal to the lives of many. TOTO makes use of its technology to assist people in navigating this New Normal.
Kaisen or "perfection" is a cultural concept that drives the Japanese company Toto. Their latest toilet, the WELLNESS TOILET is equipped with cutting-edge sensing technologies to support the health of consumers.
Water Sense Technology
WaterSense-labeled plumbing fixtures have been approved by the EPA and help save energy and water while providing the most reliable, safe and secure performance. TOTO USA is one of the first companies to receive a WaterSense Label for its EcoPower flush valves and commercial flushometers.
Our Aquia IV dual-flush toilet is an excellent example of a high-efficiency bathroom fixture. It requires just 1.28 Gallons of water per flush. This is less than 1.6 grams required to be in compliance with EPA standards. The Aquia IV features TOTO TORNADO FLUSH technology, which decreases the frequency of cleaning bowls and the need for extra flushes.
Another way to save water is by installing a low-flow showerhead, which reduces the amount of water needed for bathing or washing. Our high-efficiency showerheads are WaterSense Rated and have the most modern technologies to ensure superior performance.
Limiting water consumption is vital in a world that is constantly experiencing water shortages. TOTO's EcoPower Technology, which is found in the Aquia IV and NEXUS toilets, helps reduce the use of water by using only 1.28 gallons of water per flush.
TOTO's elongated WCs are EPA certified for high efficiency. The toilets with elongated designs have an elongated or round basin and an ADA-compliant 17-19" height. We also have an elongated toilet with a compact design which is ideal for tight spaces and uses just 0.9 gallons per flush.
TOTO's bidets are the most popular in the industry for both home and commercial use. They're not just a cost-effective alternative to toilet paper, but they're also more effective as they offer a full body wash that leaves you feeling rejuvenated and confident. The NEXUS toilet features our EWATER+ technology, which is made by electrolyzing ordinary tap water to produce the solution of sodium chloride ions as well as hypochlorous acid. This creates an effective disinfectant that eliminates viruses, bacteria and other pathogens, while leaving your skin, as well as the environment safe.
ADA Compliant
You can be able to find the terms "ADA compliant" and "universal height" however, not all toilets that are universal height are ADA compliant.
The ADA standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act are specifically designed to meet the needs of people of all ages and abilities that include those with mobility issues or lower body strength. Toto incorporates these standards into its products to ensure that customers get the bathroom experience of their choice with ease of use.
TOTO's ADA-compliant toilets have a one-piece construction that instantly enhances the look of any bathroom and offers a practical advantage in comparison to traditional two-piece designs. By removing the gap between the bowl and tank, TOTO's one-piece designs make cleaning easier by preventing the accumulation of dirt and debris. TOTO also features a high-efficiency flushing system with their Eco UltraMax toilets. These toilets are water-efficient and consume 1.28 Gallons per flush (GPF) or less.
One-Piece and Two Piece Designs
Many people who have traveled to Japan have praised the convenience and efficiency of the Toto toilets they have used during their stay. Toto is a Japanese brand of toilets that is a one-piece design that integrates the tank and bowl. These toilets are easily cleaned and fit in small spaces. They are also sturdy and last for a long time.
Toto was formed in the early 70s by musicians who had done session work for several notable musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummers Steve Lukather and Jeff Porcaro, and bassist Joseph Williams all had been regular contributors to albums by Steely Dan,[73] Seals and Crofts, [74] Boz Scaggs,[75 and Sonny and Cher among others.
Some of the band members also perform solo. In 1978, Bobby Kimball released an album titled From the Inside. Steve Lukather released a second album entitled Luke. websites and Joe Porcaro also recorded an album with jazz pianist Miles Davis.
In addition to their music, Toto has done a great deal of touring throughout the years. They released their anniversary album 40 Trips Around the Sun in February of 2018 and embarked upon a world tour to promote the album.
TOTO's Total Design principle includes taking into consideration the requirements of people of all age groups. They have a range of Universal Height toilets and sinks that are more accessible for anyone to reach, even those with limited mobility. The WASHLET+ line of bidets has changed the toilet experience from wiping to a flow of water. Many people are switching to this better option.
Noise Reduction
In the United States, bathrooms are usually located near bedrooms, which is why toilets that reduce the noise to a minimum are popular. And TOTO has found a way to achieve that with its Washlet, an electric bidet seat. Combining a rimless, slim rimless bowl that requires little water with an impressive spray of warm air that cleans and dries skin, TOTO's toilets have been described as "magical."
The humble toilet is also highly appreciated in Japan as a country that loves its technological advancements. Those qualities come together in the Toilet Museum of Japan which was inaugurated in 1999 and is designed to encourage people to think different about their bathroom habits. The museum uses a poop-powered motorcycle to emphasize that TOTO products are both efficient and eco green.
The museum also displays TOTO's innovation history, from the first flush all the way to the aeration toilet that makes use of less water and reduces waste by 90 percent. There's also a room that features the company's Washlet, which uses a jet of water to clean and dry the user, while masking embarrassing toilet sounds with singing birds.
Prior to forming Toto members of the group including bassist David Hungate and drummer Jeff Porcaro, performed as session musicians on many albums for famous artists such as Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, Boz Scaggs, and Sonny and Cher. Keyboardist David Paich was a regular session musician for artists like the Eagles, Larry Carlton, and Quincy Jones.

In the years following Toto's first album band struggled to find success and went through a string of member changes. Hungate eventually quit the group to pursue an independent career as an artist in Nashville in 1980. He left the band due to a lack time for his family and an increasing addiction problem. The band's final success was based on Lukather and Steve Porcaro.
Comfort
The toilets of TOTO are designed with the user's comfort in mind. They are equipped with many features that make bathroom use more enjoyable. They have heated seats, for example that keep the user warm. To make things easier they also have automatic lids which open and close. They also have self-cleaning technologies which keep the toilets clean and fresh.
When shopping for a TOTO toilet, it is important to know what to look for. There are many models to choose from, so it's important to find the one that offers all of the features you require. You will require the model number and SKU of the toilet to accomplish this. This information can be found on the packaging or in the online description of the product.
Before forming Toto members of the group were session musicians for a variety of well-known musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, guitarist Steve Lukather, bassist David Hungate and drummer Jeff Porcaro were regular contributors to albums of Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, Boz Scaggs, and Sonny and Cher. In 1980, they teamed up with singer/songwriter Joseph Williams to form Toto.
The band began touring extensively after the release of Toto IV. In 1985, Fergie Frederiksen's vocalist was dismissed because he was reportedly having trouble getting along with the rest. The next year, Toto recorded Fahrenheit, which was released in 1986.
The album was an alteration from the band's previous music and incorporated elements of jazz and gospel. The album was not an instant hit in North America but it did well in Japan. In 1987, Toto played the Montreux Jazz Festival and continued to tour. During this time, bassist David Hungate quit the band to focus on his session work and music production career. He was replaced by vocalist/guitarist Steve Lukather.
